This
site was created by technology teacher, Jason Miller, and the many talented
students that participate in the Computer Adventures club after school.
Our goal was to create a safe place for kids to learn, have fun, be creative,
and explore online.
Many
of the games on this site are connected to the four major subject areas
students learn about and study at school. These curriculum areas are social
studies, science, language arts, and math. In addition, there are games
that encourage students to build logic and critical thinking skills and
express their ceativity. During an actual school day, there are also opportunities
to play sports and recreate. Therefore, there are games related to sports
and recreational fun.
Before
a game is added to the site, it is put through a series of tests by our
students. The game must be engaging, age appropriate, and good, wholesome
fun. Students must be able to determine the rules of the game in a relatively
short period of time. It must be sufficiently challenging without causing
frustration. Most importantly, there must not be any violent or inappropriate
content within the game. Once a game successfully passes these tests,
it is put to a final vote. Games that receive at least 50% of the votes
make it onto the site for your enjoyment.
Our
students are now learning how to program their own games. In the near
future, we hope you will find student designed games on the site alongside
more professional ones.
We
had a lot of fun creating this site and hope you enjoy the games at SchoolTimeGames.com
as much as we do!
